Enjoy luxurious, relaxed surroundings, with your private butler taking care of the smallest of details, allowing you to focus on the task at hand. The Goodwood Estate has for the last 300 years hosted important meetings and distinguished guests, so you can expect the highest standards of service in the relaxed setting of a private country house, complete with your own private chef. A stay at Goodwood’s Hound Lodge is sure to impress even the most discerning of guests, with a truly tailored approach to meet your exact needs.
The elegant Drawing Room is ideal for relaxing or informal meetings, and the beautiful Dining Room can seat up to 24 guests for lavish dinners or meetings alike. Dining at Goodwood’s Hound Lodge is a very special affair, with butler served drinks and exquisite cuisine inspired by organic local produce from Goodwood Home Farm, designed to nourish the mind and create time for reconnection.
Should you require a more formal meeting space, or perhaps to differentiate work and pleasure, there are an abundance of spaces within the wider estate that could be utilised in conjunction with Hound Lodge, from the beautiful Kennels building, the Jackie Stewart Pavilion at the Motor Race Circuit to the relaxed Goodwood Hotel or the magnificent Goodwood House.
The beautiful Estate provides endless opportunities to relax and recharge. Enjoy a private yoga or mindfulness session, or walk up the renowned Goodwood Hillclimb and admire the breath taking vistas across the South Downs to the Sussex coastline. Explore miles of tranquil footpaths and the ancient Valdoe woodland, or take one of the Estate’s classic Land Rovers out for a real off-road driving experience.
The Estate’s reputation as one of England’s greatest sporting estates is well deserved, with no less than two golf courses, a driving range, a motor race circuit, a horse racing track and one of the oldest cricket clubs in the country. The Estate hosts three of the biggest events in the summer social calendar, the The Festival of Speed, The Qatar Goodwood Festival and Goodwood Revival, with hospitality packages available to be combined with a stay at Hound Lodge.
The activities available here are as unique and special as Hound Lodge itself, from the traditional country pursuits of shooting and archery to supercar driving experiences, stunt driving lessons and vintage road rallies.
The Estate’s aerodrome offers Cessna flying lessons and Warbird flight experiences, along with “grapefruit bombing” – a fun and surprisingly competitive activity that takes place with one person flying a plane (under instruction), and the other aiming grapefruits at targets on the airfield.
For the ultimate in relaxation, the Estate’s Health Spa can be found in the nearby Goodwood Hotel complete with spa treatment rooms, an indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, along with yoga and exercise classes and a well-equipped gym.
For those looking for a truly special experience, we can offer a once in a lifetime opportunity to be driven around the Goodwood Motor Circuit by a professional racing driver in one of the most valuable supercars in the world – a La Ferrari, a McLaren F1 GTR or a Ferrari 250 GTO. Follow the experience with a helicopter flight across the stunning South Downs and South Coast, then take to the skies in a Spitfire and fly in the very same airspace in which the Battle of Britain was fought.
At the end of the day guests can retire to one of the ten luxurious bedrooms, each with elegant furnishings, sumptuous bedding and thoughtful touches including hot water bottles and whisky decanters in the colder months, and supremely comfortable mattress hand-stuffed with wool from sheep grazing on the estate. There are 9 double and 1 twin bedroom, enabling a total of 11 guest to be accommodated with one person per bed, or 20 on double occupancy. The bedrooms all feature lovely en-suite bathrooms, many with roll top baths and separate showers.
There is high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the house, and corporate equipment can be arranged.
