At the moment, period dramas are proving a popular film and TV trend. They’ve experienced a renaissance in the past few years, booming in popularity. Television programmes like Downtown Abbey and Wolf Hall attract huge viewership, while on the silver screen, films such as Belle and Far From the Madding Crowd draw in large audience numbers. In 2016 several more period dramas are set for release, so there’s no signs of this trend slowing.

Each drama needs an authentic period location to suit, finding a site that stands out from the rest can be a difficult task. We can work to very tight deadlines too, as demonstrated with our recent work with CNBC who needed the perfect venue in which to film their new series on luxury living, “First Class with Susan Li”, with only three days’ notice. We recommended the beautiful North Cadbury Court in Somerset for Susan and her team to feature, with a range of fabulous facilities including an indoor pool, Ballroom, croquet lawn, casino and disco it is the perfect place for a luxury country retreat and the team were thrilled with the venue. Susan enjoyed some Clay Pigeon Shooting with an instructor we had asked to come along, and even some horse riding and golf from the roof of the court whilst wearing country tweeds which were requested and delivered just moments later. We absolutely love a challenge and it was a pleasure to be able to deliver exactly what was requested and more in such a short space of time.
