Elegant and beautifully light room with pastel walls and floor-length windows on two sides and views to the lake. Sofas, armchairs and footstools perfect for relaxing and socialising.
Library
A comfortable and casual room and doubles as a leisure room with a card table set up for backgammon and board games. It’s a lovely light room that catches the morning sun and has plenty of armchairs and large sofas to enjoy the views over the gardens to the lake.
TV Room
Put your feet up on the long leather sofa or curl up in one of the beanbags to enjoy the 50-inch touch screen TV with sensor control and surround sound, and PlayStation games console.
Trellis Bedroom
Enjoy woodland views from this spacious room on the ground floor of the house, and views to the lake from the large en-suite bathroom with bath and separate walk-in shower. It’s attractively furnished with some lovely finishing detail, light and welcoming. Super king size bed (can be arranged as twins on request).
Indian Bedroom
Beautiful fabrics from India are the standout feature that lend this room its name. It’s colourful and spacious with a super king-sized bed, gorgeous upholstered armchair and some lovely furnishings. It’s on the ground floor of the house, with woodland views from the bedroom and large en-suite with bath and separate walk-in shower.

Lake Bedroom
The largest bedroom, with views over the gardens to the lake. It has a super king-size bed, lovely fireplace, quality period furniture, flat-screen TV, and a large en-suite bathroom with bath and separate walk-in shower. The spaciousness and soft colours make it perfect for the bridal suite, and for everyone who enjoys a gentle sense of luxury.
Orchid Bedroom
A lovely, light and spacious room with views over the gardens to the lake. It’s bold and colourful, with beautiful Indian fabrics and stylish finishing touches. It has a super king-size bed and wonderful views from the large en-suite bathroom with bath and separate walk-in shower. With a marble fireplace, easy chairs and soft furnishings, it’s a room to enjoy.
White Bedroom
Probably the best views of the lake whichever way you look out from this corner room. This lovely room is light and spacious with a pretty sofa for relaxing and plenty of storage space. The super king-size bed can be arranged as twins on request. The large en-suite bathroom has a bath with overhead shower.
Silver Bedroom
Lovely, stylish and spacious room with views to mature woodland, super king-size bed that can be arranged as twins on request and beautiful wallpaper. The stunning large en-suite bathroom is a few steps up from the bedroom. There are wonderful views to Lake Windermere from the landing opposite the bedroom.
Pink Bedroom
Spacious room with super king-size bed that can be arranged as twins on request, gorgeous fabrics and furnishings and a stunning upholstered armchair. Enjoy woodland views from the large en-suite with bath and walk-in shower.
Yellow Bedroom
Gorgeous, sunny and dual aspect, with a glorious en-suite bathroom with bath and separate walk-in shower. It has a super king-sized bed and some lovely furnishings with rich fabrics. This room has light, warmth and elegance, enjoying lakeside and woodland views.
COACHMAN’S COTTAGE
Located within the grounds of Silverholme is the original coaching house, located close to the main house. It’s perfect to enjoy great views of Lake Windermere and the little island in the lake where silver treasure is rumoured to be buried. It has a comfortable sitting room, modern kitchen, bedroom with double bed and an en-suite shower room.
THE COACH HOUSE
The Coach House is located within the grounds of Silverholme, close to the main house. Recently renovated, it offers guests of Silverholme a flexible space for private or corporate gatherings. It offers a wonderfully light and airy feel along with state of the art audio facilities, ideal for presentations, meetings or exhibitions. The Coach House can hold up to 50 guests for an informal buffet and is licensed for civil ceremonies for up to 100 guests.
OUTSIDE
The house is approached via a private road through mature woodland, opening out into a beautiful vista of the house and lake beyond. There are 12 acres of beautiful gardens sweeping down to the shore of Lake Windermere, with a gazebo, boat house, private jetty and direct lake access. A sun terrace adjacent to the kitchen offers beautiful views and is perfect for summer drinks receptions.
The Graythwaite Estate extends to over 5,000 acres of woodland, forest and lakeside meadows to explore, with beautiful walks, cycle paths and fly fishing in the 2.5 acre trout lake.
Guests at Silverholme enjoy the use of the heated indoor swimming pool, table tennis room, picnic areas and children’s play area within the estate close to the holiday cottages, along with a fitness suite for adults.
