Sunday Times – Best Places to Live in the UK

Every year the British Sunday Times newspaper release the results of their survey showing the best places in the UK to live, for 2014 the winner is Skipton in North Yorkshire. Skipton has some excellent schools, very low crime rate and of course some of the best scenery in the UK, so it is obvious why it has won. Skipton or Skipton-in-Craven to give it it’s full name is also in an area of outstanding natural beauty and is so often over looked by visitors to the UK. This year there is an extra reason to visit Skipton, the Tour de France cycle race will be passing through the area, being a popular location for the cycling community this should create quite a buzz. The Elysian Estates team recently visited Skipton and we were all taken with the area, many of us wanted to move there which isn’t a bad sign!
